I'm looking to pick up two rods for both trolling and suckers. What rods would you suggest I take a look at? Does anyone know where I might be able to find the old St. Croix bigcat rods?
Thanks,

The best rods I have found are the G.Loomis trolling rods. Compsite graphite and fibergl#$&.
Will pull the largest lures out there and set the hook on suckers with authority. Yes, they are a little expensive but should last forever.

Location: Madtown, WI | I went the cheap route...and like them. Southbend big cat(I think...they are their catfishing rods anyway, white with a yellow tip) 8 footers....all fibergl#$&....VERY GOOD backbone. Have cuaght multiple fish(3 over 45) on suckers on these rods and they really give the fish the berries!
Like them for trolling too...I think I got both of the rods for 30$ on deal at Sports Authority....

Location: Mapleton,IL | St Croix came out with the premier gl#$& musky rod which was designed after the cl#$&ic cat series ( i think that is the name). Because musky fishermen were upset when they stopped making the rods. It is a heavy power in mod action it should fit your needs quite well |
