Does anyone thrown deep diving cranks in less than 4' of water? I'd think that all the banging may trigger as strike and you could work it slow?

I like to bang cranks along the 4' to 6' rock edges in the fall, parallel to the break. Less chance of hanging up, and very effective if the fish are on the stones. I do best on the round rock/boulder edges, the sharp edged stuff seems to hold the fish deeper, at least for me.

Try using what most would consider a bass crank in a deep diver, just make sure the hooks and split rings are strong enough. My son Keith did that on Sabaskong two years ago at the outing and scored several fish a day.
