Location: Racine, Wi | Got out with the wife on Friday night, and she stuck a fat 40"er. Her 1st MI fish. Now she has the fever even worse than before. Got a 32 with Mini Tuffy on Sat, and a really nice, fat, bass on a bucktail. |

Location: oswego, il | Spent the week on vermillion with my kids, mom and grandfather. Kept them on pike mostly in rice bay. My oldest son lost a very big fish we were bummed. Seen a 45"er floating dead and a couple of bruiser cruisers. Plenty of small pike and I did not fish much, boat control with a light boat can be alot of fun when it is windy.

Location: The Yahara Chain | Was up on the Chip fishing in the PMTT, didn't catch any during tourny hours. Moved a lot of fish on Thursday and Friday, my partner caught a 34.5" Tiger on Friday. My 8 year old nephew, Cole Hefty, caught his first musky a 29". Sunday night I went out after the tourny and boated a very chunky flowage fish. 44" x 20.5" on a BS Willy globe. I had a much bigger fish follow 30 minutes later and I had one short hit the globe that I messed up and set when I should have just kept reeling, I was a little jacked up from the 44". I got on the radio to my brother in law, who did catch one during the tourny, and let him know the fish where going crazy. He called me back five minutes later and said Cole lost a 40" class fish on a pacemaker. The fish jumped totally out of the water three times and got off after the third jump. Cole was making so much noise when he was fighting the fish a group of people on shore heard him. He was so excited he didn't care that the fish got off, he was just so happy to have encountered that fish.
Here is my first attempt at taking a picture, when I was by myself. As you can see it didn't go as well as the dress rehersal.I missed my mark. The Flowage is really turning on there where several nice fish caught during the tourny and conditions where tough during tourny hours.
The evening/night bite is on fire on the Chip now. The large fish are on the bars and the fishing should be outstanding for the entire month of September.

What kind of a net can a musky bite through....
I would highly suggest using a Frabill Power Catch with a rubber coated bag, I use the Big Kahuna. They have a rubber treated bag, and no musky, no matter how big, could ever bite through the netting. |

| I fished the WMT in Eagle River it was pretty tough for us my Big Kahuna went for a ride on the ease out never to be seen again, and with 15minutes to go on saturday I had a 36-38 eat a topwater only to find a sleeping tournament angler on the other end . Well it happens there is always next year!
