| Here's a pic of our new pup, Redd.
He's a yellow lab. This pic is a few weeks old, and he'll be making his maiden voyage with me and the family up on Cass next week. I wonder just how many times I can say "NO!" in one outing? "Cork handles are not chew toys"!!!
It'll make me clean up the boat, that's for sure. Release tools are very handy for veterinary work too. I just hope that I don't need them for that.

Location: Racine, Wi | Dang Guys those are some cute pups. Almost makes me want another, but then I think about what Beav said. No, No, No, No, No, DUDE, how many times do I have to say no!!!! (then wife says) DUDE, how many times can I tell you that the dog doesn't speak English. LOL
In reality, they are great partners, and don't complain when you accidently slip off a weedline with the TM, or if you knock a fish off with the net. |

| good looking pup Beav.
Chubz used to be that small...
Wife wont let me take him in the boat though. Says we got him to keep her company when I'm gone. Thats fine with me if I dont have to hear as much complaining about me fishing.

| LOL, yeah.
But you need a wife to have a baby...
And a baby costs a whole lot more money, plus it grows up, eats your food, steals your beer, blows up the engine in your car, and THEN you have to spend umpteen thousand dollars a year sending it to college, then it gets kicked out and comes back home to steal your beer, mess up your house, take over your garage, and eat your food all over again.
Besides, a dog never:
complains because the fish aren't biting
wants to go home because its too cold
wants to go home because its too hot
tells all your friends you blew it on a huge fish
asks to drive your truck, or the boat
And a kid?
Won't chase away burglers
Would NEVER bring you the newspaper
Won't fetch
Complains if you make them ride in the back of the truck when they've been playing in the mud
Nobody is gonna call the ACLU if your dog wrecks the furniture and you swat him
You can feed him the same thing every day and he doesn't care
Dogs come when you call them and leave when you tell them to
They're ALWAYS happy to see you
You can leave them alone in the house all day with no supervision
They don't talk back
And they ALWAYS want to go fishing! |

| I'd have another kid in a minute if I was 20 years younger.
Pups are great, but nothing...and I mean nothing....compares to the feelings that you have for a child.

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | Kind of have the best of both worlds, 2 year old Lab Shady's a good fishing partner a little hyper but doesn't mess with the rods and lures, and my 6 month old future Musky Hunter, he's awesome and in a few years will be right by my side, can't wait.
