Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Hi - Just a quick heads up to ZALTNAD customers who have bought or are using our Alien lures with the stinger hook and a rubber band. Unfortunately the rubber band reacts with the body of the Alien, especially if left on for any length of time after you're done fishing- "in the tackle box" etc. This certainly makes a mess, although it doesn't damage the body of the Alien.
I also recommend you store your Aliens in the zip-lock bag it comes in as the color's can bleed from lure to lure. Right now I don't see an easy solution for this, i.e., it's kind of like keeping your other soft plastic color's separated, i.e., bass worms etc.
Have fun!

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Hi all- An update the on stinger rubber band reaction to the Alien material- problem solved! I found that the problem is if you use 100% natural rubber bands. The solution is to go to WalMart in the women's hair section (by the Pharmacy). Get the "goody" brand pony tail bands by Rubbermaid. They come in a pack of 250. They are multiple colors, so you can color coordinate them with your Aliens or create a contrast stripe if you like.
I use 4 on the 12" , 3 on the 9" and two on the 6" Aliens. Haven't played with the 16" yet to find out how many are needed to pin down the 7/0 stinger.
Have fun!
Al
