Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | We are happy to announce the second annual Klye "Kly" Stefanski Benefit Tournament which will be held on October 22nd on Lake Oukachee in Southern Wisconsin. Last year's efforts raised more than $7000, and this money, combined with what we raise this year, will all put back into the lake through fish stocking.
For those of you unfamiliar with last year's tournament, last year, a good friend, and great musky fisherman, Kyle Stefanski,
passed away suddenly in an automobile accident. He was just about to graduate from the University of Iowa, and was a day away from his 23rd birthday. He was an avid musky fisherman, great student and an extremely kind person as well. By the responses on the MuskieFirst Web site last year, it was evident that he touched many people.
In honor of his name, last year we had a silent auction in addition to the tournament on Okauchee Lake in Southern Wisconsin. The money from those two events, as well as this year's tournament, are going toward the stocking of Okauchee Lake, which was one of Kyle's favorite lakes to pursue his fish.
Last year's event was so successful, we decided to do it again.
More details are to come, but for early entry, or to help with the event please contact me, Andrew Golden at [email protected] or via phone at 847/989-9271.
We hope to see you all for the tourney (October 22nd), the pre-tourney gathering the night before, and for the buffet breakfast the morning of.
Kly Tourney 2005!!! We look forward to seeing all of you!

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | In order to include the maximum amount of people to participate in this year's tournament, we have decided to make it a regular open tournament. The main point, same as last year, is to have fun and, of course, raise money to stock the lake.
In addition, we will hold an auction in the MuskieFIRST chat room on Dec. 1, starting at 7:30 PM. We will have baits from the above mentioned sponsors, plus Mark Smith of Smuttly Dog, from Hawg Seeker Tackle and more. There will also be a chance to win Weagles and Wabulls custom painted to order by Beav's Basement Baits.
So, to recap, here's the info on the tourney:
When: Lake Oukachee, S. WI., with the tournament headquarters being Jollymon's
What time: Sign-up starts at 6 AM, with the actual tournament taking place from 8 AM to 4 PM
Rules: Any legal means to catch musky; witnessed by other tournament boats, fish til you drop.
Tourney prizes: First place--a weeklong stay at Indian Point Camp Lodge in Dryden, Ontario http://www.indianpointcamp.com
Second prize: TBD
Third prize: Frabill muskie net, lure retriever and hat
Biggest fish: Frabill muskie net
About 10 lots will be held back from the live auction to be used as lots in a silent auction, which will be held for a week and three days following the live auction.
For more information, call Andrew 'Slamr' Golden at [email protected] or call him at 847.989.9271 |
