| Was just perusing their site, very impressed. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with these baits? Can you tell me why you like/dislike them? Also, how about the Mini Lac Seul? Looks REALLY small. MuskieE, what kind of a sound did it produce when you were using it? |

| Yes, the AHL baits are extremely well made and produce fish. The mini has been producing a lot of fish in Vilas county this year. I like the Lac Seul Turbo a lot. This bait can be run at a slower speed than some of the other tail rotating baits and still maintain a constant rotation of the blade. I also think the narrow profile of these baits helps get better hook-ups than some others. Try them, you won't be disapointed. |

| I like the action of both the large and small versions, but I'm not a fan of the the paint, or should I say, the finish. After just short periods of use, the paint around the blades begins to peel and eventually the paint on the wood starts to come off. I don't need topwater lures to take on water. I think that they have to make some changes to make the lures more durable. |

| I am a new fan of the AHL lures as well. I really like the Lac Suel Turbo. Like Pete stated you can work this bait at a bit slower speed and still get very good sound. The bait reminds me an awful lot of a super topraider but it is much more user friendly. It doesn't require you to start with your rod tip so high and you don't have as much difficulty getting it started at splash down. Best fish this year was caught on it.
I haven't had any trouble with the finish and I've used it a lot this year.

Location: Appleton,WI | yes my biggest fish was caught on the mini,51.5" and the next day i boated a 45.5"er so yes they work if thats what your woundering!

| i just picked up a Mini...love the sound.
two issues:
1) hook size is a bit small on it. i plussed it up to Mustad 3/0 round bends and feel more confident. bait runs exactly the same as before.
2) the head spins alot on it. not a problem with a good swivel ball bearing, but could twist your line if the swivel goes bad on you. anyone else have this problem with it, or is it just mine? |

LOVE the Lac Seul Mini. Tried one last year on Dryberry and had a mid 50"er up to the boat three times. Granted she never came to eat but the mini has moved several fish in the last year. I had to buy one. They run great through reeds which is where the beast came from. Comes through relatively clean. Definitely easy to fish.I'd say try it. No problems with the paint whatsoever to this point.
