Location: Germantown, WI | Anyone have any experience with the new MotorGuide PTS motors? MotorGuide uses 5 transducers to follow a given depth contour. Looks awesome. Just curious if they are worth the $.

| I'm curious about these trolling motors as well. Have a pinpoint, put they tend it act up once in a while, or foot pedals go out, which are getting hard to get. If anyones using these ne motorguide motors, have they been good to you so far?

| Have a lot of experience with a Pinpoint (which died) and a PTSv. They are basically the same, though I haven't used the depth track feature enough on the new PTSv to honestly compare accuracy. I think whether or not a PTSv is worth it depends entirely on the lake you fish. On Lake of the Woods, I never use the tracking features. On many other lakes I'd probably have trouble without it, especially lakes that are new to me.

| I talked to a place in Calif. that does repair pinpoints, but they told me the Motor Guide is offering 300.00 on a pinpoint trade to the Motor Guide PTS series motors.  |

Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | how does a person go about getting that $300 trade towards a ptsv? is it available through any motorguide dealer or only through the place in california? what are the old pinpoints worth used? i have a 3700 motor, would it be better to get teh trade $$ or to sell used? |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I haven't heard to many good things about them. I know when they are not acting up they are pretty solid, but when they do act up watch out! To me it just seems that there is to many things to go wrong with it, if it were me give it awhile and let MotorGuide work out any problems they are getting and then look at purchasing one if they are that appealing. The Minn Kota Maxxum is still in my opinion the standard in trolling moters. Its hard to beat a proven winner like the Maxxum! Just my thought. |

| I picked up one on August this year as a replacement for my Pinpoint. so far working great, big problem came with the pinpoint in fall when cold, or after alot of rain, so far on both of tose counts its been fine. |
