| Hey Doc - Tell your lovely wife that they also moved the league to saturdays!!! and extended the hours to all day! while your at it tell her you need a new boat and you already have a buyer lined out for your "old beat up, can't possibly take Jessica out in, to small for me and Logan and Jessica and Kelly to fish out of, Ranger" If it works I need to meet her sister, If Kelly falls for that line of BS her twin should also right? Let me know how that works out. Good luck in the last week of league! |

Exciting as heck, man, that's for sure. No one has run away with this thing (Andy K. must have left his Cat Tails at home every week) making for a very interesting finish. I think I'm going to find a way to inflict Adler with the "flu" next week - maybe the kidnap flu? What a blast for me every week.
Jonnysled and the rest of us on "Team Big Boom Fish" aren't talking about it.....wouldn't that be like chatting up a pitcher who is tossing a "no-no" in the eighth inning!? LOL
See you next week on Pelican.

Location: minocqua, wi. | the only solice in not being there for the last day on the dead sea is making the trip to Minnesota for some time out on Mille Lacs. this league has been a blast!!! and team "no-name" is enjoying the first season fortune for sure, at least thus far. i never looked at fishing as a team sport before, but have really enjoyed this group and its format. when Mike and i cruised through the shoot at Thompson last tuesday and saw TJ with his hands up .... it was cool .... and dad Tim's first legal (great timing!!!). even though we got blanked, the rush of the fish Tim caught and it's contribution to the points was awesome. the last 3 weeks we've known full well that there are some teams hot on the trail and ready to move ahead any time, so this fish was absolutely huge ... at 35.75"!!!!!!!!
well, we carry a slim lead into the last week and from the perspective of wanting to win i'm glad it's on a tough lake like Pelican. it would sure be fun to win as it's definitely an accomplishment against the field on the water, but anything can happen. i think there's 3 teams within striking distance that could go past us with a good fish .... and that guy with the hot streak (WOW) .... i think what 4 fish for him in 3 weeks?
anybody who has an opportunity to fish in this league and doesn't is really missing out on something cool. i've learned so much new water and creative approaches that i never knew or would have tried in the past. |

No worries from Norm, Andy, Sue, or me, we have been ice cold for a couple weeks losing every fish we had stuck. Sheesh. Sue and I continue the Tuesday night fishing until it gets too nasty for her to enjoy, and mix it up between muskies and Pike, Bass and Crappies. Keeps us on the water one night a week, and forces me to set some time aside from work. Sue would rather fish than sit in front of the TV anytime.
I am a lucky man!!! |
