Hi Guys,
I'm taking the wife up the the Indian Lake Chain and I noticed that the air temp has dropped by about 30 degree's this week and will be the same next week. Do you think this will have a negitive impact on the fishing. I was hoping to put the wife on some musky's next week. And hopefully get one over 40" she could get a graphite out of. I know there are not huge fish in the chain but good numbers, which is good since this will be the first trip for my wife.

Thanks guys

IF THE TEMPS STAY STEADY YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM,USSUALLY A GOOD TROLLING BITE IN THE EVENING.HAIR AND JERKS ON THE POINTS AND ROCKS IN THE DAY.iF THEY DON'T GO HIT THE OPEN WATER.. IT NEEDED TO COOL DOWN A BIT UP THERE.THERE ARE A FEW 45 TO 50" FISH AND A FEW DECENT TIGERS IN iNDIAN SO0 DON'T BE SUPRISED!!!! GOOD LUCK ARTIE

Jason, like artie said, you should be okay, especially if the weather stabilizes, trolling bright color jake, depth raiders, has always provided consistant action. Never have casted the laked, but there are some good fish in the lake.

Good luck

Jason, Would sure like to hear about your trip when you return. I'm headed there on 9/23 for a week. Hoping for numbers and a chase or two by some of the 50's I know exist in the chain. I owe you an apology. I should have emailed you prior to your trip. I have fished the chain for over 40 years. Hope that your trip was very successful. And more importantly, I hope that your wife enjoyed the fishing and the catching.

cold fronts are the best time for musky on the indian chain.......you gotta troll 13" to 14" baits. We've caught up to 12 a day after a major cold front....
