a friend and I have Friday off and are going fishing for the day. We live in the minneapolis metro area but are not afriad to travel a few hours either. I have been all over this year and i want to know if YOU guys had the day off where would you go? Mille lacs was the first thought, but there is a tourney this weekend and probably a lot of pre-fishing going on.

dont let the tourney scare you off mille lacs. there is plenty of water and plenty of fish. i will be there saturday. during (and after) the tourney.

I second baldy's comment, lots of water there. I'll be there too, but not on the water' just as a sponsor of the tournament. Wish I had the time to fish!

just in case, if the lake is blown out or just too busy, what other options is there around mille lacs, i have heard some talk about cedar lake up there but i am unfamilliar with it?
