Just returning from the bookstore and I am aggrivated. While looking through the sports book section I happened on said book and jokingly suggested it for my wife. As I flipped through it I came upon the page describing our beloved esox species. They went on about the danger and difficulty of catching, however i almost dropped the book when I read "the best a safest way to handel this fish is to grab it by its eye-sockets"........ Now perhaps I am a bit off but WTF. Am I wrong?

That book wasn't written by a CPR educated muskie angler, I'd bet.

That's odd, that's how I handle my kids. Did not know it was a problem.

Thats the way my dear old dad taught me. It may be the safest way for the inexperience angler but it doesn't do much for the fish. The authors of this book must be pretty old or didn't do much research. Did you contact them and educate them?
