Location: milwaukee | I made the exact same move that you are thinking about. Actually, my 350 (not A) is working fine, I'm considering moving it to the bow position. A fine locater in it's own right.
I bought the 337c for the mapping capability. The better resolution makes up for the somewhat smaller screen size compared to the 350. And the color is a great feature.
The only downside is the 337c transducer mounting holes didn't line up with the universal mounting plate on my boat. So I had to drill new holes. The dual freq transducer is quite large, too.
If you have the cash, I'd say go for it.
