Anyone know where I can buy a rod tip (guide)? I broke my favorite rod this weekend cleaning out the boat. My 7'2" all purpose rod is now a foot shorter. I hope to be able to salvage it by putting a new tip on it hoping it will work as a jerk bait rod. I need a tip with a inner diameter around 5.5 to 6 mm's. I found a few places on line but they want 8 to 10 bucks for S&H for a 6 dollar part. Any recommendations on a good source?

Call Reinke Brothers in Milwaukee
414-383-5591
I have a box full of tips and guides in my basement.
Every time I broke a rod, I took the time to take the guides off and saved the tips because you never know when you are going to need to make an emergency repair when you're on vacation.
8-10 bucks isn't expensive for a new tip unless you want a piece of junk. Concidering that the tip has the most contact with the line, I'd spend the money to get a good one. When I used to build rods for myself, I always spent the money for the most expensive, hardest tip that I could get.
