Where are you headed this weekend to chase muskies? Sue and I are staying local this weekend with a rare weekend home.

I'll be heading to Minoqua on Sunday around 2:00 AM with the wife and boys (dog and cat) for the week. I can't wait to get out of the office for the week. If anyone is gonna be up there, and you want to hook up, shoot me a line.

we have a big crew landing on the shores of Chain Lake in Sugar Camp for a weekend of fishing and fun on the Sugar Camp Chain. lots of the people from the message boards making the trip so names and faces will meet the first time for some and a reunion for others.

sunday hope to hear from Tuffy and get together maybe for the sunday night bite .... then it's off to Mille Lacs monday - thursday for a business in the day, fish in the evening week.

Don't hang on the bb's too much, and havn't been out much this year with alot of "crap" taking my time, BUT, I'm taking a quick ride up to Eagle lake and spending several days with my good bud Herbie and Rob Manthie. Kind of a spontaneous opportunity, but a good one to say the least. Probably hang around until mid-late week. This will give us a good chance to sit down and yack about our upcoming elk hunt this fall too

Sure hope their meteorologists are as "bad" as ours are back home, as it sounds like a cold snap coming...but you never know, that might get that big fattie in the right mood??

I just got back from a four day trip to the Holcombe Flowage and Chippewa River. The heat was excessive and the muskies were very unwilling. I only boated a 30" fish in four days. I had a fish pushing 50" swipe at a spinnerbait only to rip the trailer tail off and still take another swipe boatside on the figure 8, then didn't see him again the next three days. I caught quite a few pike and smallies so I had some action. I talked to a few guides and they echoed similar results to mine, of course the lake was on fire a week or so before I got there.

Headed off to Mille Lacs on Saturday fishing until Thursday and spending one day with Gregg Thomas. Verrrrryy anxious as I'm not sure what to expect up there at this point. Hoping to stick a 50".

Johnnysled,

If you see to goofballs in a black Crestliner Muskie Edition 135 Merc and 9.9 kicker with a dog (probably the only sane one on the boat), give a shout. Hope you do well up there!

Trolling motor is still laid up so no fishing for me.

Anybody got an open spot in the back Saturday in the Metro?

Might just troll somewhere otherwise...at least I'm fishin'

Al, if you know Eric half as well as I do, please do not say "stick a pig". Given Eric's dating situation, he may follow your advice. ROFLMAO! Extreme one, need company Saturday night? I'm gonna be in Milwaukee, and the wife will not let me bring the boat down. If not, let's meet @ Smokey's Saturday afternoon. I have a few baits for you.

SD, good luck up there, let us know how you are doing. Cooling off to 102 on sunday so I will probably doing alot of stuff outside. I figure when the water starts to boil, the bubbles will increase the oxygen back up and I can start fishing again!
