I have a couple days off and got a cabin on the Holcombe Flowage for next week. Don't know too much about the area or the lake or area lakes if needed. Any pointers for on and off water time in the area would be great for a family of 3.

Thanks.

Keep the Hooks Sharp!

I just got back from the flowage fishing it for four days. The fishing was tough, only a dink boated, a few pike and smallies. We stayed at Paradise Shores again which is top notch. Your best bet is finding weed beds close to deeper water and submerged timber and fishing from 8pm till midnight with topwater baits. I talked to a few guides and they have also had very little action. Water temps were in the mid 80's. Trolling the channel breaks would probably be a good option. Check your PM I'm leaving you some more specific info.
