Location: Mendota Heights, MN | There has been some discussion about not musky fishing while the water temps are so warm. Great idea, but my question is: How warm does the water have to be before we can say it's to warm to safely fish muskies?

This is just my opinion, but I stop fishing for them when the water temp reaches 80 degrees.
I stop fishing for them all together.... I used to just fish for them earlier in the AM when the day and the water was at it's coolest, but soon learned that doesn't seem to make a difference.
Heat equals stress and stress equals dead muskies. It just isn't worth it to me. | |
