Hi. Does the canadian hydrographic map of lotw (sab bay) show underwater rocks and other boating hazards? Also how is the fishing hot spots map of sab bay? Which is the best all around map for fishing and safe boating on lotw? Thanks for the information!!!

MNR Map #6214, I think is the number. Recently redone in 2003, I think. It does show alot of hazards, but not all. Way better map than the HotSpots map. It is now on two sides, and on better/water proof paper.

You can also get them from Thorne Bros in Twin Cities. Check on the internet. MNR maps are a lot better. I got mine when I stayed at Red Wing Lodge last year. The bonus of that was that the owner marked other underwater hazards not shown on the map. Helped save potential problems.

The Hot Spots software for the Garmin GPS works great too. When the water was so low in 2003 most of the trouble spots (rocks) were exposed and visible and the locations were dead on. I feel a little better about navigating through those spots now.
