$45 dollars more for the entry fee from last year and the payouts are the same as they always have been .....?

Where is the extra money going and since this tournament was used to generate money for the IDNR in the past 9 years is ALL the entry money raised going to be donated to the IDNR this year ?

Shelbyville Tournament permits have a provision preventing tournament people from fishing the Marina (lithia no wake areas). If you're going to have a state sanctioned tournament on Shelbyville, you have to agree to that provision.

I've been told it was due to lobbying by the Marina patrons & owners after a PMTT event but I don't know for sure if that is the reason.

Actually it was an agreement between the corps and the marina owners from the beginning according to Steve Sommers of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE is the official authority of the lake and surrounding land as it is a federal flood control reservoir. The state of Illinois has no jurisdiction other than fish and game laws). And as one of the directors of the IMTT said the other day, "there are two sides to every story".
