| Do you guys have a certain fishing buddy who fishes the exact same water as you at the same times of the year utilizing the same techniques and boats a 50" incher every year, while you and your other fishing buddies do NOT? I am talking that guy who sees the same or fewer fish and catches the same amount or less when your both in the same boat, but as soon as you aren't around catches another 50". I mean while I am excited about his success it is really starting to burn me. I can't be the only one who thinks that some guys just have a lucky horeshoe so imbedded that it simply won't ever come loose. Where the #$%^ is my 50"!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH! | |

| Yes, I have one. I fish with a guy who is so dam lucky, it's not funny. We will go on a 7-10 day trip to Canada and he will only come for a few days. Some how he always manages to catch a 50 on his first day of the trip. Funny thing is, he does really wierd stuff. He will throw a count down Depth Raider in 3 feet of water. He caught a 51 1/2 doing this. We will be fishing a weed line and he will throw a top water out in 30 feet of water and catch a fish. This guy never sharpens his hooks. Talk about rust. There was one time the musky gods did get even with him. We were fishing a slop edge and he had what I estimated (I got a good look at her coming out of the water) to be a 54 inch + fish hit his spinner bait. The fish had the bait in her mouth and flew all the way out of the water. Our buddy is about 6 foot 5 and goes a good 260. I know of no one who could have set the rod any harder then he did. What happen next was so dam funny that I cried the rest of the trip. After I saw the musky throw the bait, I looked back at my buddy to see what happened. As I turned I saw Tuff line everywhere. The night before he was trolling with that rod and forgot to reset the drag. Talk about a backlash mess. He drive us crazy, but it just goes to show you that most of us way over think musky fishing. | |
