Hey I'm trying a new area this weekend.. My brother in law has a cabin on Silver lake by laona and I'm wondering if anyone has muskie fished this or any other lakes in the area.. would like to give some a try..but thinking about just running each day to eagle river..

Any help would be appreciated and i will post the weekend report for the lakes i fish..

Any of the lakes besides riley have a decent population of muskies in them..

Thanks Bret

Johnson,

Silver Lake has muskies in it. Not a large population but they are there. Just down Hwy 8 is Wabicon and Riley. Many skies in their. Stop in and say "HI" to Muskie John at the resort and he will fill you in on whats going on.

Also you may want to try Roberts Lake off Hwy. W between Crandon and Wabeno. There is a good population of skis in there but the lake will be busy. Water ski hours are from 10am - 5pm. It has a great after dark bite.

A few miles from Roberts is Lily Lake. Lily has a healthy population of skis. It has dark water and is easy to fish!!! Good Luck

Hey thanks for the info... have to try lily and roberts next time..
Silver is a good looking lake but only caught two muskies out of it.. 30 and 26".
Wabicon is so shallow fished for a little but couldn't find the deep water channel..
pretty spots on silver.

The channel to riley was really shallow..
thanks again bret
