I'm doing a growth rates study of muskellunge in differing locations in North America. If you plan on catching atleast 10 muskies on a particular body of water and want me to age the fish in that system, measure the fish to the nearest half inch and clip the first two spines off the dorsal fin(this does not the hurt the fish)
Place the fin in a small zip lock bag and lable each bag. If you know how to sex the fish this should also be recorded. (its fairly easy to learn how to sex a muskie)

This will be a great way to see how differing ecosystems and genetics play a role in how our muskies grow and it will be cool to know how old each fish you catch is. I'll send you the results of your fish when I'm finished
