Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | I ran into Jerry Schneider, Franks son, this morning and he asked me to post an update on the muskie websites on how Frank is doing. I told him that I would be glad to.
For those who know Frank he needs no introduction, for those who don't he has been a life long voice for Muskies, Muskies Inc, and Minnesota sportsmen. He has had an active voice with the Mn State Legislature (sp?) concerning fishing issuses in Mn. He is a past International President of Muskies Inc. and a member of the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame. I'm sure that I am overlooking some of his accomplishments. Frank is 86.
He was diagonsed with brain tumors recently. I've been told that he is mostly blind and isn't doing so well. I would like to ask that everyone keep Frank and his family in their prayers.
A website has been set up to keep friends informed of his condition. Go to www.caringbridge.com and click on the visit link. Type in frankschneider to access his page. Jerry also informed me that there will be an article about Frank in this Sundays paper. Unfortunently Jerry wasn't sure if it would be in the St. Paul Pioneer Press or the Mpls Star Tribune.
Having lost my wife a year ago to brain cancer I know to well what Frank and his family are dealing with. My heart and prayers go out to them.

Location: Yahara River Chain | I will also add that Frank is a member of the Muskies, Inc. Hall of Fame and will add that you folks in MN should count your blessings as many things Frank did was for the sportsmen. Many a time he took off from work to go to the State Capitol and "twist" a few arm to get rules passed or other legislation passed. This guy was so dedicated to the cause it was scary!
My thoughts & prayers are with you, Frank

| Frank and family you are in our prayers, I have been fortunate to meet frank in the last year and words could never do justice for what type of person he is and what he has meant for the State of Minnesota Musky fishery. He truly has a great passion for this fishery and dedicated a lot of his life for the MN development of muskies.
Keep fighten
