Bought a Warlock with the impression it was a dive rise bait. Tried it and it just sinks even with no hooks. Did I get it wrong, dive rise bait or not? Starting to feel foolish.

Could someone tell me why my previous post vanished?

must admit I screwed one up but it was definitely on the second. Never mind. Hoping for an answer though.

Bitten Warlock is a glide bait. At least the one I have. I have been very impressed with this bait. Tremendous glide and flash with the metal tail. Stays down too

Looks like I have got it wrong then, I needed more dive/rises too but looks like another glider for the collection. I thought the tail was in the style of a Suick but it is more manta-esque then. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi Chico,

Try a Sand Kat by Big Fork tackle it is a dive and rise bait. Its very bouyant and not for deep water presentations. It is very good in the weeds and timber.

Thanks

Cheers Dave, I have a few sandcats about, I just have sooo many gliders compared with dive/rise baits it is obscene so should get more.

I agree about the sand cats, awesom bait. I also found that heavier hooks or adding weight to the belly makes it an awesome deeper style dive rise bait. I am sorry the Warlock gave you the wrong impression but it is a glider with tremendous flash and body roll. as of yet I do not make one that dives and rises but I have a prototype in the works that does. I am also working on a larger version that we are testing this season that is working awesome for those of you that may be wondering. Chico I hope that you find the Warlock an enjoyable bait to use and it puts some nice fish in the boat for you. If you have any questions about it please email me at [email protected] . Good Luck and Good Fishing. Doug--Bitten Tackle

Doug,

very nice of you to comment on what is simply my foolishness, nothing wrong with the bait at all and if it fishes half as well as the topwaters I have from you I'll be impressed. I had several baits to test out when I tried it and when it sank I just tried another bait and put it aside to put in my test tank later. Now I know what it is meant to do I should have a bit more success!!! Definitely interested in your dive/rise prototype when it becomes available and looking forward to catching on my new found glider.
