Location: Cohasset, MN | I was trying to answer some fishing related questions for one of my boys and he came up with the following question (which I'll paraphrase): Other than inadvertently catching out-of-season species why should there be a closed season on a lake with stocked tigers only ?

Kids can always ask those common sense questions that require NO answer....... |

Location: Mpls, MN | I would say its more or less for keeping things simple for the DNR to regulate and the public to follow.
There are too many ignorant and just plain stupid people who break the rules to have a year round open season on tigers. 'Oops I thought this was a tiger only lake'. I imagine it would be abused and create more headaches for the DNR then it's worth. I think anyone would love to toss our muskie stuff if we could but oh well. 2 more days to MN opener, finally!! |

| Tigers are suckers at first ice,,actually we need to close the season earlier,,,openning it earlier on the designated tiger lakes in the metro I would think would be no harm,,the metro tiger lakes are under used anyway |
