MuskieFIRST is pleased to announce a special Kly Stefanski Auction to raise financial support for genetics research to be performed by Dr. Sloss at UW Point in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. This research will assist the DNR in an ongoing project to determine the genetic compatibility of the LCO muskies and those in Butternut, and to then help fund additional work by Dr. Sloss to study the genetics of our Wisconsin Muskies present and past in order to better understand the Wisconsin Muskie.

This work has wide reaching implications for the future management programs here in Wisconsin.

The funds raised in this effort will be placed in a special account to be used exclusively by Dr. Sloss in his research capacity.

Muskie Guides indicate committment to the future success of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Muskie Management Program:

Much of the required funds will be raised by offering by auction guide days donated by some of the best Muskie Guides in the Mid West. Donating a guide day to this effort indicates a special committment to the Wisconsin Muskie fishery, and the advancement of scientific knowledge about our state's most exciting fishery. MuskieFIRST extends special thanks to those donating their valuable time, and will offer a special die cut graphic for the Guide's rig to indicate the generosity and committment to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Muskie Management Program. If you wish to donate a day, please contact Andrew Golden or Steve Worrall at MuskieFIRST.

The Muskie Industry Steps UP:
Industry leading companies like Frabill, Inc. , Tuffy Boats, Yar Craft Boats, and many more to be announced will support this effort with direct cash donations, assistance with the fund raising activity, or donations of product to be used in the auction. If your company would like to assist in this effort, please contact Steve Worrall or Andrew Golden at MuskieFIRST. MuskieFIRST welcomes donations from all Muskie related businesses and organizations.

The impending auction will represent an excellent opportunity to purchase a deal on a day on the water with a top stick, get a great deal on a muskie related product, and an opportunity to step up and support the work Dr. Sloss will be performing.
Guide Days to be Auctioned:
4--1/2 days offered by Premier Hayward Guide Larry Ramsell
1 day including a night's stay at the Hideout with Steve Worrall in Rhinelander
1 Day with Premier Guide Steve Jonesi in Minnesota
1 Day with Norm Wild, a Top Oneida County and surrounding area Muskie Guide
1 Day with Mike Hulbert, one of the hottest muskie guides in the midwest
1/2 Day on Wissota with our own Mark H!
ToddM will donate a selection of lures
Musky Nut Tackle will donate a selection of lures
There will be more!

MuskieFIRST will announce the product auctions as we acquire the committments from the generous folks donating the items.

This Auction will take place in the Kly Stefanski Auction Fundraising forum, which will carry a special Title during this effort.
Thanks in advance to all donating items and services, and especially to those bidding on the itmes as they are auctioned.

I'll donate a weekend stay for 1 or 2 (Friday & Saturday nights) at either my cottage by Minoqua or my home near Appleton and as much musky fishing as you can take before it is time to pack up and go home Sunday. I fish many lakes in the Minoqua area and some within an hour and a half from my house. Check out my place and rig on my site. The only catch is I'll be fishing too. Here's your chance to learn the Fox in Green Bay, Minoqua area or some other waters in the area you don't hear much about.

Ty Sennet stepped up with a great lure package, and I am told I have some emails from other contributers ready to step up. I'm in Kentucky working; soon as I get back home I'll post the added Sponsors of this event! Thanks, everyone, let's make this thing cook.

I'd do anything for Kyle, or in Kyle's name. I'll offer up a day on some big water, Columbusing for big fish!

Jo, we can't say Green Bay or the Fox, cuz of the Captian's License thing. I will resolve that over the winter.

I realize that I'm a bit off the beaten path, well quite a bit actually, and am in a place far from being a destination location for muskie fishing, but I'll match a day on the water chasing tigers for ANYONE winning a bid for ANY of the other prizes. It's a pain in the butt to get here if you're not headed this way already, but heck, it's a freebee for ya if you want it.
