Location: New Baden IL | WOW do I wish it was mine, but my lovely bride Karen caught her new personal best today! She caught a very fat 46" and followed it up by sticking a sweet 43" too!
We had the kids along today, I cant beleive how good they do watching us cast all day.
Sophie was a little freaked out by the fish, she was calling it a shark and said to look out for the teeth! Good advice from a 3 year old.
Everett wasnt afraid at all. He's crying in the picture of the 43" because I yelled at him to stop wiping the slime off the fish!
Congratulations DEAR!!!
I love you.
Rod

| Congrats on the two very nice fish!
I love this thread. I'm showing this to my wife and to let her know what she has to look forward to! (She doesn't fish.........yet. )
I sure hope that one day I can convince her into taking the family out for an outing such as this. This is inspiration for those of us that are married and either starting families or already have families! |

| Hi Rod,
Without a doubt that is the best post of the year so far. I love the look on your famlies faces. The smile of satisfaction on your wife's face is something you should be very proud of, the look of apprehension on your daughter is priceless, and your son is doing the same thing I did the last time I lost a really nice fish. Like you I have a wife and two kids my son is 12 ( greatest kid I know ) and my daughter 9 is autistic ( she loves the water ). They meaning everything to me and your post just makes me so very proud not only of you and your family but mine as well. For that Rod I just wanted to say THANK YOU!! Your pictures are a perfect example of what life is all about.
Thanks
