| Three reels:
6500 C4 (6.3:1)
Millionaire CVZ 300A (5.1:1)
Shimano Cadriff 301 (5.8:1)
Three rods:
Fig Rig Tooth Tamer 8' MH (medium/fast action)
Fig Rig Tooth Tamer 6'10" H (medium action)
St Croix Premier 6'9" H (fast action)
How the do I decide which rod gets which reel?
Right now I've got the millionaire on the 6'10" Fig Rig
The 6500 on the St Croix
and the Shimano on the 8' Fig Rig
It seems to be working out pretty well, but I wonder if there's a reason to pair them up differently???

Location: minocqua, wi. | if it were me:
the cardiff on the mh action .... smaller profile could use lighter line and throw lightweight baits
the 6500 on the 8' .................. the higher gear ration on the bucktail rod
the millionaire on the 6'10" ...... the smoothness for the gliders
just what i would do, but everyone might have their own preference. |

| I guess it's not as much which reel goes on which rod as it is which reel to use for what lures.
Seems half the world thinks the C4 is perfect for burning bucktails (should be on the 8'MH rod then) and the other half the world thinks I'll blow it up because ot wasn't designed for that and it's a better jerkbait reel because the high gear ratio allows it to take up slack line better.
Then there's fast action vs. medium action...
sigh...

| the C4 will not work for bucktails for the most part uless they are small and if you plan on throwing cranks you have a bigger problem...other than that use them on whatever rod you like...Ben |
