How did the Muskies treat you across the open waters of the country? I was in Arkansas until late last night, and just vegged today because of the temps in the 30's.

Had two nice follows on Friday evening, caught a little one 31". Was out with NETMAN on Saturday and "HOLLY COW" he catches one. A feisty 36" in the net and we have 3 fish in two trips. A great start for two guys who haven't put a fish in the boat together in three seasons. Saw two more on Sunday evening but no takers.

The little dinks were out in full force this weekend, with a HUGE, 12X4"er visiting the boat yesterday. Had a good fish roll on and undertaker on Sat before the winds came in, then it shut down.

Was out with Little Tuffy, and JJ yesterday, and we saw some good fish, lost one, and I think ripped 2 out of carp while casting cranks. Found the fish, but no takers. DOH!!!!!

Fished the Petenwell Challenge this weekend, what an awesome tourney. Todd runs things better than any I have ever seen.

There were 9 legals caught, none by me or my partner. I did boat a savage 28-30" er that ate a Grinder. First trip of 2005 and I got slimed, could have been worse.

The fish went nuts on saturday, of course, I couldn't keep em pinned up. Lost about a 50, then a 45 or so, raised 20 or so others, all on mag dawgs. It was exciting, but heartbreaking to say the least.

Mark Gostisha and I pounded the mighty muskie waters of Utah on Sunday. The fish obviously didn't realize that I was hosting an important guest so they were a no-show
We had a great time however and it was really cool to finally meet someone that frequents these boards. I was able to learn a lot and just had a heck of a good time all day. The weather was probably a bit too good as both of us found out how ineffective sunscreen can be when it's left in the tube!

fished the Petenwell Tourney - nice to meet Norm and share a few...stories...with some M1st guys.
we too boated a 30 on Sunday, not enough for tourney points, but it got the blood moving on a cold day.

if someone wants to experience a fun and well-organized event, fish this one next year!

Dannyboy guided me on an early morning trip to the year round lake...pretty nasty in open water, so we concentrated on the back bays and North Shore...not much happening. Dannyboy did get a follow out of a two-foot walleye and then had a 45" ski cruise past the back of the boat. Still a little cold!!!

fonze,
i enjoyed the day. nice to be out. at some point those fish are gonna explode.
if we could just get some consistently warmer weather.
i hope i'm there when they do.if we're moving fish in those conditions, yikes when it warms up again.
look foreward to next time.

Fished the Pewaukee classic on Saturday, didn't even see a fish. 5 legals boated between 130 guys, biggest was 38.5"
