Location: Chicago | I am a proud new owner of a Weagle. I am curious what type of leader you guys are using, I have a 6
inch straight wire leader and it works OK? I know I am supposed to use the death march, but it seems
that the bait dives underneath the water?
What type of leaders are you guys using? I am assuming user error versus bait issue.
On another note, do you think leaders that are "almost" straight will work too? I have had some bends
on the leader for which I straighted out. A few guys I fish with say they only fish with completely
straight leaders, where I have heard others say they fish with beat up leaders all the time?
Thanks for any info!

Location: Washington, PA | The leader you are using should be fine. It's probably operator error, it takes a little while to get the death march down. Not so straight leaders, that's your preference, they drive me crazy, titanium is the only way to go. |

I can't answer your question regarding leader length, but when the leader looks like a paper clip, it's time to say goodbye to it. |

Location: Racine, Wi | Try giving more slack to the line when marching that puppy in. If you keep the line 2 tight, that's when they tend to submarine. That being said, remember that the DO submarine, for when there is a fish on the bait, and it won't eat the death march. Get that puppy wet, and give her a reason to eat. |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | A 10 inch straight wire leader works best with Weagles.
I have used shorter as well as longer, and it seems that a 10 inch leader works best.
Remember two things: 1. You need slack line and 2. don't over work the bait. |

| 10 inch single strand and work it very slowly... swoosh... swoosh... swoosh... pause... with lots of slack line. Some Weagles ride higher in the water than others, and the heavier ones need to be lightened somewhat
