Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How'd you do on the Muskie waters of the country this weekend? Sue and I got out today for a couple hours with ther son and soon to be daughter in law (Mother's day trip, dinner to follow) chasing Pike and Crappies, and got only one pike, a couple crappies, and a couple gills. While tossing spinnerbaits for Pike we caught two out of season really nice largemouth and a smallmouth, the fish were shallow!

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Great weekend to be on the water.
My report is on "The Opener" thread Steve started.
6 fish- 4 on Saturday between my brother Greg and myself:38 1/2, 38, 37 1/2, 37 and 2 fish on Sunday morning before moms day Gene got one and I got one later just after noon. Both of them were 37-inchers.
I think all of these fish were males. I can't wait till the females start to eat..........

Location: New Baden IL | I know Southern Ill doesent have an opener, but I caught this one Saturday.
42" on a black bodied, orange blade bucktail.
Unfortunately, it was the only one we saw that was intrested in a bait.
We did see 2 other fish swimming side by side, obvilious to all of our attempts to get them to bite. They were IN LOVE!!!

| Friday Thad Hinshaw and I took the day off to fish Evergreen in IL. Wow did it pay off, at least for him. Didn't move anything early so around noon we started trolling and 10 mins. into our first pass we stick a 40.5". Thinking the trolling bite might last we trolled for a few more hours without getting a single rip. We switched to casting and I immediately got rocked by a fish of unknown size and a suicidal, kamikaze 36-37" that went PSYCHO over my Phantom. It did everything but hit it. Thad raises another 40"ish on a different spot, then we head back to the spot with the psycho fish. I guess BIG MAMMA moved in because suddenly that 36-37" became a SLOBOSAURUS 48" 30+ lb BEAST!!!!! Well worth taking the day off!

| I can't take ANY credit for those fish. Thad knows that lake backwards and forwards. Props go out to him. Quite a fish, though.
Right back at 'ya IN! IL can produce hawgs, too! |

Location: oswego, il | Hey, I did catch a cold last week, that's more than I thought I have been capable of this year so things may start to look up. My 9th day on the water was saturday without a fish. I have seen probably 40 fish, lost about 5, netted 6. |

| Mothers Day ended up being pretty awesome! I called my Mom that morning to wish her Happy Mothers Day, and for a little luck. She came through for me!!
I fished with clients Chris Riebe and his buddy Jeremy Paulsen, and Chris got a 43", and Jeremy got his personal best of 45", and a 42". I finished the day off with some topwater action and got a 37.5" on a Phat Boy.
Thanks MOM!!

Location: Holly, MI | Got a chance to take my young nephew out on a pike hunting trip. I landed a 33 incher that he thought was about 6 feet long. He wanted to know if we were going to eat it. It was the perfect opportunity to discuss CPR. I ended up with 3 pre season largemouths on my spinnerbait and he got one.
