What have you guys been using for this early muskie season action? I've been trying some bass baits but haven't had any luck. What do you guys recomend I should use?

mg5 - You'll get a better response if you give some more detail about the waters you're fishing. Give us more to go with...

i love working gliders reallllllllly slow, just letting them hang there after every couple of taps. i like castors, undertakers, and regular mantas the best.

10-4 on the gliders , got a 35 1/2" a couple of weeks ago on a "Undertaker". Moved 7 fish that day , 3 hits and hooked up on the 35 1/2.

hey sorry about that guys, I have and will be fishing channel lake on the fox chain of lakes in northern Illinois, this lake has great weeb beds, but can get accesive at times, and also has some sand, a sand bars. Usually has decent water clarity until the pleasure boaters come out, then it can get pretty murky. Hope this helps so i can gather some information from you more experienced fisherman to help me out a little bit. Thanks guys.

Please don't take this wrong, but if you want to learn a particular body of water or just want to shorten the learning curve, consider hiring a guide from the area. Not just for "spots", but how to work the spots and presentation options etc..Go with another guy and split the fee.Look at it as an investment in your future.Might even catch a fish or two.Good Luck. Steve

Two guides I know and personally can recommend would be Rich(Big Gooba)Gallagher and Ralph(Paison)Florio.Great guys and both know the Chain really well.Lots of options.
