Just found out that one of my employees has a place on Big St Germain. I am new to Wisconsin, she says that it has musky in it. Any thoughts, plus she also said I could use her place any time. It is hard for me to get away in the summer but would be able to go in Fall. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I guess she is in a bay.

I guess shes got job security now. Very good lake in the middle of a lot of other good lakes. I think that Musky Hunter magazine still has an annual instructional school on Big Saint. My mother lives about 8 miles from there so I get to try it a couple times a year. This is my brothers favorite lake to hit very early in the morning.

Take her up on her offer and if you like the place give her a nice raise to keep her on the payroll.

Great lake, room to roam, lots of weedlines and structure to choose from, I don't think you would be disappointed spending time out there, Very good fall lake.

I live about 2 miles from the landing on Big Saint. You can find some good info if you go to this website www.stgermainguides.com and click on the link that says "Our Waters" good info provided by some of the locals who know it well. When you get close to coming give me a shout and I can fill you in on up to date conditions.

Yes, that's my son. He's been pretty busy getting new boats rigged for the season. He's also a real musky-head.

i'll echo your comments on the Clearview. great place, great food and nice family running the business. i live in Minocqua and it's my favorite overall for the area. nice place to feel at home and an ageless northwoods feel. go past Fibbers and it's just down on the right. it's worth going past Fibbers to the Clearview. that was as nice as i could say it!

I have had lots of good meals at Fibbers, but you are making me want to try Clearview too. I have not been to Clearview for about 20 years, I'll bet it has changed some eh?

i'll just say i think you'll like it for many reasons. there are a few places up here that stay busy all year round and then those that "capture" the visitors. clearview is one that is solid no matter what time of year.

Big ST. is a nioce body of water. Good population of muskies, average pressure, and a really nice area.
