Excellent bait, no right way to work it, sink and swim, or jerk, ............... endless variety of retrieves and applications, adding a trailer blade isn't a bad idea either, try a #7 or 8 colorado many different ways to attach it, build your own for 75 cents. Just a few thoughts.........

I wouldn't go anywhere without my box of Dawgs.

They are awesome baits, you can work them 1000 different ways, and it is an added bonus that muskies love 'em!

One of my favorite tricks is to rig a reg dawg out the back like a sucker when casting ....... let out like 5-10 feet of line depending on how deep you want it to run ...... then just cruise around and cast and wait for the clicker ...... also like to cast them ........ just all around good baits ....

snap em' right, you can get them to glide like a reef hawg. A good 1/3rd of my fish have come off of dawgs. that is an endorsement from someone who makes his own line of baits.

I dead stick one off the back when casting, and they have great tail action just hanging there. When casting it, you can twitch or jig it, but your best action will be violent jerks causing it to erratically dance!

Easiest bait in the world to use! Cast it and reel it in anyway you want to. Fishing it like a bucktail will get you great results!
