I've got a 160 blue, mounted on the trolling motor. Every so often it flashes a message that the transducer isn't connected, and sometimes it says the unit is in the simulator mode. I wrote the company, and base price for repair is $89.00.I can't find what a new tranducer cost, but I'm thinking, it might be cheaper to buy another unit. Even if I buy a transducer, I'm not sure that's what it is. Any ideas? Thanks Doug.

Do you have tie wraps holding the wire to the trolling motor? If so its possible one can be too tight and is pinching a cable. I am assuming you already checked the units connection where the transducer plugs in... if the plug has o-rings on it for a tighter fit like my Raytheon unit its possible an o-ring is dry rotted andcould cause the problem.

Thanks Kevin, I've checked all the connection, but I'll try again. Thanks Doug
