I took the Castor to a pond near my place today. First time throwing it and I was very impressed!! Beav had told me that it was a bait best worked slow and she did look great. But since I use such a heavy rod in a 6'9 St.Croix Premier... I was able to work the bait as quickly as I wanted to... Beav is right... she really dances like the drunken prom queen!!!

Glad to hear it.
You can work it fast like a Reefhawg and it'll work well. But you get to be as old as Worrall and I, it it was much nicer to work it slowly with lots of pauses .
Thanks,
Beav

BRAVO BEAVER!

Picked up my Castors this Friday - this weekend the Milwaukee County parks offered a kids fishing weekend - took my twins down to soak some corn for the trout etc... that they release, we had a blast, but more importantly, got to see my Castors in action.

NICE! Even let my two boys have a try - if seven year olds can make 'um dance, you'd have a tough time not getting this thing to "move" - either slow or fast. Loved the shimmey on the way to the pause - can't wait to put it in front of a pig, Now I have to order a Emerald Shinner. Great job Beav. Thanks.

E-Hawk, I told you when you picked them up that my 9-year old works hers by just turning the reel handle. After a while she started to snap the rod a little bit, but it took so little effort that she wanted to use it more and more. Your boys shouldn't have any trouble getting the hang of doing that little twitch thing....just give them a Mountain Dew before you go fishing.
Glad to hear from another satisfied customer.
Thanks, Beav

Dr., Check out the Buy/Sell/Trade board. There are pics there. You can either post there or send Beaver a Private message/email.

You can check out some of the colors on the buy/sell/swap board.
You can request colors, but if you want me to copy something you'll have to provide a picture or a sample.
I've got some Emerald Shads drying in the basement, and a handful of walleyes on the turner right now.
One post has a list of how many of each are remaining.
I'm just a basement lure maker, so quantities are limited. I have 75 blanks left, then that's it for the year. This year I plan on painting more in the summer and early fall just to get ready for the show rush next year.
Thay are a slow fall, almost neutrally buoyant lure, but if you read HRJohnny's post, you'll see that they are versatile and can be fished fast too. I'd say the only place that you can't fish them is deep.
e-mail is probably easier, but you can PM also.
