Cass*, Buck*, Andrusia*, Big, Leech, Vermillion, Mille Lacs. * All three are connected, which is a good thing if the winds are a blowing, i.e., because you can always find a safe spot to fish. I would recommend Break on the Lake Resort on Cass. Really nice folks and good accomodations.

There is always a good bite on the metro area lakes in June. The lakes up north can be good too (especially if we have a warm spring). I am a statewide guide in Minnesota, but usually concentrate my efforts on the metro area lakes in June. Feel free to give me a call or send me an e-mail if you are interested in a guide trip. I know most of the other guides across the state and can refer to someone else if I can't meet your needs.

LeMay if you are asking about your trip with Jonesi...make him take you to Mille Lacs. Good shot at numbers of fish, and a true PIGGIE!

Unless we have a really warm spring, I would skip northern Minnesota till after the 4th of July.....fish the metro waters or head down to Iowa.

bfunk -- MN doesn't open until June 4th -- Late May would have to be in WI.

I have fished the MN opener for 20 years and have caught fish from Leech, MilleLacs and many Metro
Lakes. If you know where to look the northern lakes can still produce in the early season. If you want
to try Minnetonka (which is usually VERY good in June) try to make it during the week!

There are BIG fish all over the state and no matter how cold the water is, they still have to eat -- just not
as often in the cold water. In the cold water I really pay attention to the feeding windows. (SoLunar Tables)

Good Luck!

If you're going with a guide, let him make the decision on where to fish. He'll be clued in to what lakes are going and what patterns are hot at that time. Tell him what you want (IE numbers, size or learning) and let him go from there.
