This will be my 6th year fishing with 38 inches being my biggest. Lost a 42 incher in the net 2 years ago. |

Location: Schofield, Wisconsin | I have been fishing for ski's about 10 years now with my biggest a fat 30# 48" beast. Still looking for that elusive 50". Had one on last fall that had to be huge while sucker fishing but had the drag set too tight and straightened out my 4X Mustad treble. It was the hardest pulling fish by far I have ever had on. But I know where she lives! |

| Fishing muskie 25+ years and the biggest to date came in '94 with a 52" 40# girl in late October. Replica looks great... |

57 x 27, 53 x 26 1/2, 52 1/2 x 22 are my biggest and a 53 x 23 is my biggest client fish. All were released to fight again.
Click on my web site for pictures and where they live. Pewaukee Lake has 2 of them still getting bigger. |

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Going to be starting my 26th year. No 50" fish yet. 49 1/2"x25 1/4", 38 1/2 pounds is biggest so far. Officially weighed in as well. Yes, kept fish back in '90; sorry guys.
Released 46 3/4"x23 1/2" (32 1/2 pounds), and 47 1/2"x23" (31 1/2 pounds) last fall. Largest Tiger is about a 25 pound release last fall as well.
A buddy lost a fish that was well, well, well into the 50", 40 pound class last fall with me. Oh, the fish of a life time still swims.

Never fished for bait since that day. My personal best was a 55 inch 50+ lb fish and clients have release 55.5 and 56 inch fish in the last 2 years. |

Daredevil, below the ford dam in MPLS, I was eight years old.
I became obsessed in 1972 and didn't get my first 50 until a few years ago. Since then I have caught a few more, must have something to do with the lake I'm on.
My best is 52.5, my clients have boated fish up to 54"s with
several over 50".

Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | Started fishing muskies with my Dad in 1953. Didn't catch my first 50" until about 1986. However, there was an 11 year gap in my fishing while I was in the Marines and starting my business. Still, that's a pretty long time. Since then I have caught numerous 50+" fish, but none that are 54". Now I figure my odds are getting better since I fish muskies on LOTW almost 100 days per year. In all those years, I have only seen maybe 6 fish 54" or longer and one of those was an honest 60" fish. That should tell you how rare that size fish really are. Hope springs eternal. My goal for this year is a 54" muskie. |

Location: The Yahara Chain | I have been fishing for muskies hard the last nine years. Zero fifties, My goal was always to catch a 30 lber., which after having my heartbroken a few times, I was able to do last fall. 48" x 23".
Ace has a good point, it has a lot to do with what lakes you fish. I haven't had the fortune to fish the trophy waters of Minnesota or Ontario , yet. Next year I will be going to LOTW or the Goon? I could catch a 50 and still not consider it my biggest (heaviest) fish.
My new goal is a forty pounder. I better head to Green Bay. |

| Hi,
I caught my first legal muskie back in 1978 and I've never looked back. For some insane reason I've always found these fish something special. I've never caught that magic 50" but have been lucky enough to catch lots of mid and upper 40" fish. I love to catch fish but even more satisfying is watching a new angler catch his or her first fish. Man this is a great sport. Good luck this season everyone.
Thanks

| Been fishing for these fish for 23 years and counting. Never hit the 50" or bigger mark....yet. Biggest to date: 48" x 23" @ 32 lbs.
Still having a blast regardless. I don't have to have a 50 in my lifetime either....I'll still have a blast all the same.
Would I LIKE a 50+ inch? Well sure! But it's not needed. I just enjoy my time on the water and being away from work. Catching fish is just an added bonus no mater what size or species it is. |
