| Here's a tip for you folks with kids who get bored. Last time out on the ice my 9y/o twins lasted a record 3.5 hours, a real accomplishment for us, especially since we only caught a couple small perch. But this was the first time I brought the old Red Ryder bb-gun. They took turns shooting at ritz crackers I set up in ice cracks. We also had fun telling other fisherman "If you get a real big fish on, and you need some help, just call us over. We have a bb-gun." At first I was worried that other fishermen might be uptight, but were very careful and everyone seemed to approve. Just a suggestion for folks to consider.
