Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It's 1:30 AM here, and Sue and I pulled into the Lake View Hotel in Campbellsville KY to see a huge welcome sign for Muskie fishermen and Bassmasters. Looks like a target rich environment for the MuskieFIRST camera the next few days. Watch for a complete photo and written report on the Muskies Inc Spring Chapter Challenge right here over the next three days! Green River water is the fishery! Hopefully, the weather will allow some fish to be caught.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Thomas Kelly took home the First Place trophy and honors for the largest fish at the Muskies Inc Spring Chapter Challenge, beating 79 other anglers with a 43.5" muskie.
Jamie feeeman took second with a 41.5" fish, and Tom Cat took third with a 37.
This was a great event!! Tony did a fantastic job as Master of Ceremonies, Chad presented a very educational seminar, and the Kentucky Chapter took southern hospitality to a new level.
Here's a link to an album of photos from the event!

| Per's Steves writeup, the Challunge this year was some tough fishing. This year's total was numbers was the smallest in like 10 years. Water temps are 10-15 degress behind normal years, thus most fish were not in the shallows yet. We had a total of 11 fish caught.

41.5 by Jaime Friedman, 2nd place points
37 by Tom Cat, 3rd place points
35 by David Growchowski
35 by Jerry Miller
34.5 by Dan Hanneken
34 by Larry Owens
34 by Kevin Custer
33.5 by Scott Salchi
33 by Marc Grattan
31 by Tim McCauley
We were treated by two first class seminars by Chad Cain and Steve Worrall. I admit i didn't see Chad's, but everyone commented that they actually learned some new ideas and thoughts on muskie fishing from these two pros. Thanks for coming down and being a part of this event.
Next year, dates and locations are still to be determined. Richard Collin will be coming down to give us a feature seminar.

Sue and I had a great time despite the bad weather. Thanks for hosting a top shelf event, and we will see you next year representing the Milwaukee Chapter. |
