| Hey,
I was told by my fishing partner the other day that my ugly mug has been posted on the internet. Some of you may have been wondering if there is an actual face behind the
"greenduck."
The past three years I have been visiting Sabaskong Bay and staying at Lake of the Woods Lodge. Scott and Ruth Hurst are relatively new owners, about three years, and are very nice people. They bought the Lodge just before the ban on bringing meat into the states began. It has really hit their hunting business hard. They are very nice people so if your looking for a nice resort in the now "quiet" waters of Sabaskong Bay (everyone else keep on going up to NW Angle) then check them out. If you hit the address below I'm the guy on the far right. If you double click the picture you'll get a better look at the fish. If was caught on a Wick creeper on a figure 8 by the boat. My wife Tracy netted her. She was a fat fish for the middle of July. Any estimates on weight? I'd like to here your estimates. I will be purchasing a new computer this month and I hope to have my own photo album created like many of the rest of you on here.

If you decide to give LOTW Lodge a call then tell them Bill C. sent you.

Location: The Yahara Chain | Bill, how long is the fish?
If you are the size of an average Wisconsin musky guide, I estimate its weight at 22 lbs.
I heard your height varies between 5' 6" and 6' 3" |

| I'm guessing she is approx 46" long and 20" girth.. so around 26-27 lbs. Beautiful fish !!!

Location: Athens, Ohio | Question for ya - that lodge is in a very good location to where I'd like to fish next if I return to Sab Bay. What do you think of the lodge, accomodations, access, etc? thanks, m |

| Hey,
I think the lodge is nice. It is a bit rustic or worn but the cabins are clean and comfortable.
Good hot water for showers and they have a nice hot tub on the deck over looking the water.
They will fire it up (literally) during the day so by the time your done at night you can cap off
your day in the tub. Scott and Ruth are very nice. The prices are reasonable and they will try to help you out in any way they can. There hasn't been much of a musky crowd there the past few years. Last year we were the only ones in camp there to target skies. I can't believe the relatively light pressure in this part of the woods. We usually bring our own food and boat so I can't speak to those things. I do know that one night when we were heading out they had all the outside tables set up with beautiful white table linen and were bringing out steaks for the guests. Most of the cabins sit right on the water. It is about a 6 mile ride out from Nestor Falls.
I have caught and raised numerous fish within sight of the Lodge. Tons of good spots surround the lodge. Ruth's brother is a float plane pilot. The plane comes in a few times a week and they
will take you out to small neighboring lakes for pike, walleye, or muskies. They are very nice
people. They will share a beer with you at night and shoot the bull. It feels like home after
just a short stay. I am sure there are many resorts with much more fancy accomadations but I tend to not care since I'm on the water all day anyway. It is clean, reasonable, and located in the right spot.

Location: Maribel WI | My guess would be 46" with 22" girth and weighing 29.99999999 lbs. I also looks like it was caught on a black creeper on a figure 8 off a rock point, but thats just a guess... |
