I am in the process of purchasing line for the upcoming season. I usually use 80 or 100 lb power pro. I am considering trying something else as I think the wax coating can sometimes where of quickly. Any suggestions? Thanks BG

I used 35# and 50# Gorilla braid all last year with excellent results.

I use Power Pro 80 pound and really like it in high visability green. It does fade but actually works better with age, kind of like a good bottle of wine. Cortland Spectron 80 pound also works great, and I had no problems with it in basic green, white, or black. However, avoid Blackspot because it tends to fray.

80lb. Spectron is what I have been using for years. Always reliable. You will probably get as many answers as there are types of lines. Many will do the job but I can tell you that after trying most of the available products out there I keep coming back to Spectron.
