Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Looks like Spring will arrive for a bit in the Northwoods tomorrow through Tuesday at the least. The snow in the yard is melting fast and the deer are in the fields by the hundreds after the green stuff sprouting up. Temps in the 50's will allow me to get my rig out of the snowbank and get her ready for the Spring Challenge in Kentucky, and a trip to Bull Shoals for HUGE gills and crappies and to cover the RCL Walleye there two weeks from now. |

| Was on the Fox after eyes on Saturday. Saw some schmuck drop a 49"er about 6 times while taking it out of the net, measuring it, pics, showing it off to the other boats. I did send his boat number to the DNR. THAT was a bit excessive. Boy, was that fish fat! Caught on a jig and minnow, I think.
Other than that sad display, it was a great time. Was great to be out in the boat. The 135 Opti performed flawlessly, and started up like I had last run her yesterday, not Nov 29th! |

Location: Racine, Wi | I'll be getting the sled back today or tomorrow, and as soon as I get the TM resecured, I will be ready to rock and roll. 2 more weeks, and I will be on the open water for sure!!!!! With temps in the high 50's to upper 60's, the ice should be melt'n.
I have to actually remember to bring everything this year when I get out for the 1st time. Last year, forgot the net, forgot my baits, (had to go back), and my tm at the time was a pos.
No repeat this year. |
