For a first time trip to Mn. ,where and when would you go? Leech,Cass or Mille Lacs and why?

I would add fine IF you have a large boat. I would suggest Vermilion

My choice would have to be Lake Vermilion although there are alot of other choices

Mille Lacs. Monster fish, and lots of them. Also, if you want to take a break from chucking big baits, Mille Lacs is the best walleye fishery in the state.

Got a sleeper for you -
Big Lake just west of Cass.
I would spend a calm day on Leech
Hit Cass on a windy day
These 3 lakes are about 20 minutes apart.

I'd go to Vermilion, huge fish, beautiful area and fun/easy to fish, plus it's the hardest lake to leave ( I never want to leave). Bring a map though.

Big is just north of Cass actually. I love that Sewer.

Also in the area is Bemidji, P Lake, Little Wolf and the X to end all the X's Winnibigosh. SHHHHHHHH!

Stay off Leach big, rough, spooky, not many big fish, but I'll stick around and take on the big Walker girls for the team.
