| Anyone out there use this set-up while casting? I like to have both hands free for fishing, and am wondering if any of you feel like getting the copilot was worthwhile for casting. I have an autopilot but have played with the idea of adding the copilot to it to be a little more mobile in the boat, but am unsure about how much I would be needing to readjust the motor by hand rather than by foot in windy conditions.
Thanks much!!

| Once you use the co-pilot- you will never use the foot pedal again - I used the corded co-pilot last year - nice
I've gone through 3 foot pedals in the last 4 seasons. They don't last . I bought a wireless co-pilot for this season. The nice thing about the cordless is you can use your foot pedal as well as your remote. Also - the corded co-pilot is battery free.I can see a drawback in the wireless - I don't know how long the battery will last in the little remote unit - I'm making sure I carry a spare. I think the response is quicker with th co-pilot than with the foot pedal.I like casting with the remote on my belt. I'll play with the wrist and rod options this year. | |
