Subject: BATTERY HOOK UP QUESTION

What is the hook up routing for connecting two deep cycle trolling motor batteries to get twice the amount of 12 volt running time. Do I connect negative to negative and positive to positive, or what? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!! . ALSO, can you charge the two batteries as one unit????

you want to connect your batteries in a basic "parallel" fashion to keep it at 12v, but increase your amp-hours.
connect the universal ground to the negative of battery A, and then to the negative of battery B.
connect the positive of battery A to the positive of battery B to the trolling motor plug.
(ground the plug to the universal ground as well.)
