I'm not sure, but probably a small mepps marabou, spring size bulldawg, or a slidin shad
glide bait.

Probably a jig-a-beast from Dick Pearson's tackle...I saw Doug Stange using them on one of his shows and they looking sweet...figure I might as well try something I have never tried before.

First thing that will hit the water when I get out is going to be a sucker, followed by another one, then another one, and perhaps a 4th!!!! Then my cousin will throw the same spinnerbait he has thrown for the past 3 years, and my other buddy will throw his luck Jake, and I will probably throw a beer or two, oh wait, baits , ahhh, I will throw aaaaaan undertaker, or a top secret creation.

I'll be tossin' a 6" Jake to the same weed edge that my buddy got a 42"er off of while his bait was still floating at the beginning of his first cast last year. That lucky sob.

You mean, what did I have on when I made my first cast of the year back in mid-February? I've made so many since then, it's hard to remember It was an SS Shad, shad color.

probably a 5 1/2 inch Novak glider, or a nickel/blk boo tail. Or a 6 in jake perch? So many options...... Maybe a silver/blue depthraider? I will probably start with those four rigged and ready to go. Throw whichever applicable......

I'll probably start with a smallish spinnerbait... and if they show themselves [and they always will;] but don't bite... I plan on following it up with a Lil'dawgy... twitch and fludder, stick and move... entice, entice, entice...

Failing that, I'm going to launch a 13" Granny at'em, to scare the ba-gee-zuz out of them... then maybe they will appreciate my more subtle approach...

And do it for hours... I can't wait!!!
