I will get the ball started Steve, I will open the bidding at $200.00. Is this a trip for one or two people? If for two someone match the bid and you can have the shirt and spinners providing I get one of the baits to atleast try.

OK, EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck Altamore just emailed me that he will add a guide day to the 'pot' here, so the deal is now a day with me on Pelican, and a day with a true gentleman muskie Pro 'up north'. This will make a fine guided two day trip for two generous muskie anglers, and Beav is going to toss in some of his bucktails, too!!!

This is now at least a $650 value, let's see what we can do. I would ask that 50% be paid upfront because of the immediate need for Ashton, and the rest when we meet![] [:)] [:0] [8)] [::)] [::)]

Got a Super Shad Rap in Shad color and a old Grandma 9" in bumblebee if you just let me know where to send them. Both lures are in very good shape . Back to the top, please.

I'm going to put a half bid in of $350 if there is anyone out there who will match mine. It would require fishing with a short, cantankerous, ex-military dentist who really knows little about musky fishing. Come on guys this is going to involve a flight down from Alaska for me and a lot of baleful wailing from my wife.

Greg I am in for the $275, hope we win this thing. But...........if I am not part of the winning bid however I will donate a couple of suprises for the winner. Value of the items to be at least another $100.00. What will the items be? Let me see................could be a trolling motor battery...............could be lures..................how about.....oh well you get the picture.

Everyone, Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Ashton's first surgery is Thursday morning January 17th, down in Madison. He will be getting tubes in his ears to drain the fluids and his lip will be put together into one lip instead of the three parts he now has. The tubes hopefully will help so that he will finally pass a hearing test. Has failed all previous hearing tests. The lip adhesion will hopefully make it easier for my "little Trooper" to eat, and cheaper too. The current bottles he requires cost $20.00 apiece and they are only good for four weeks. Ashton will be in the hospital for one or two days depending on how well he comes through this surgery.

I thank you all for your continued support and for all the prayers. He needs every prayer we can offer. As Ashton's grandma, I can tell you I'm very nervous at the thought of my little 3 1/2 month old grandson going under anesthesia and the surgeon's knife. While we all know it is for the best, we still cannot help but worry. I know my daughter and her husband are more nervous than I, understandably so. They have to take their son down there, and hand him off to surgeons, and pray the outcome will be all we've hoped for.

I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support and prayers, it means the world to my whole family. God Bless You All.

Sincerely,

Jody Holbrook

Let me see if I have this straight. ! day with Steve on Pelican, $300. 1 day with Chuck, $300. 2 Hughes River baits, $90. 1 Aurora rod, $65. 1 Knipex mini bolt cutters, $45. 1 pack Violent Strike spinners, $40. 1 Pacemaker, $20 1 Holographic Reef Hawg, $20. 1 Topglider, $20. 1 Shad Super Shad Rap, $15. 1 Bumble Bee 9" Grandma, $15. 1 Clown Baby Shallow Raider, $15. 1 Perch 6" Grandma, $15. 1 CD of Rockin Fishin Tunes, $15. I will then add 1 new Power Cycler Trolling Motor Battery, $135. 1 used Battery Charger, $25. If my addition is correct, and I'm not saying it is, this brings the total up to $1,160.00 WOW. Tell you what, if the bid gats up to or over $1,000.00 I will throw in a 6501c reel to go with that Aurora rod. Bid it up folks, this is what life is all about. Helping those less fortunate than themselves. Let me make this suggestion, four of you could get together and bid for this and fishing 1 day each. Hey I may try that myself.........Good luck and good bidding to all........Mike[] [:halo:]

OK, GUYS!!
I just recieved a box of goodies from MuskieMedic, and it includes a KILLER rock fishin' CD, and TWO dynomite crankbaits. Add that to the take.

EXACTLY where are we as far as bids???

Clarify, consolidate, make this HAPPEN!! I am adding 2 nights lodging, meals, and personal evening fishing stories at Worrall's Hideout to the Mix,for the two day trip with me and with Chuck, so this is now TOP SHELF!!

As you read this, Ashton is in preperation for, or in his first of many surgeries. My hopes, prayers, and love to him and to his family; the process begins...there is no insert- a- smile icon on the site for hope, guess that is too hard to put on a little face.

Unless, of course, it is the face of a child.....

Steve, great job with this auction. As I see it the current bid is at $700.00. This is $350 from Doc Esox and $350 from Gregm. This is a great deal for that amount of jing. I have added a couple of things to the kitty as well. Also have offered to throw in a reel to go with the rod if this auction gets up to or above the $1,000.00 mark. Come on folks let's getthis thing going again. I know that a couple of you guys will bid a little more with this offer from Steve.

Congratulations Doc and Esox69 (Brian & Steve) I'm looking forward to our day on the water. I believe what goes around comes around, in other words, good things happen to good people. I have a feeling that you two are going to have to wash some muskie slime and develop some film after a couple of days with Worrall and myself. Next step is for all of us to figure out what days this will take place(the sooner the better for myself) Once this is done I'll e-mail each of you with any more details. I'm going to order the two Loomis rods and if you two would like your names on them just reply to this post with the name the way you want it to appear on the rod. Again,"hats of to you guys" Take care.[] P.S. Thanks to all who bid on this to help the family of this young child, to those of us who have healthy children, thank God, I know I do!

Chuck....I know this may be asking alot. Would it be possible for you to get the blank for me and rod components? I would be happy with just the blank if sending the component is too much trouble. They do make it in the blank...I've checked already--at least they have a blank listed at 7'7" (MU914). If you can do this could you make sure it is the same blank for me?? I have made all my rods for too many years now....plus I would like to add about 5" to make it an 8' rod. I'll get down on my knees and beg if I have too.

And assuming this is possible Chuck....could you get the stuff to me at least a month before the trip (the sooner the better) so I can have it done?? Pretty please with musky slime on top??

Let Me Know Chuck...Thanks,
BrianW [] [] []

PS: BTW Steve....first $300 is in the mail...maybe we need to get on a conference call with esox69 and I to figure out dates ASAP?
