| I have fished both bridges and surf in the Marco Island/Naples area. I was down there on vacation a few times and just wanted to do a little fishing so i simply used a slip sinker rig with shrimp. My bro and i have caught tons of catfish (actually they are annoying) jack, snook, stingrays (you know when you hook into one of them) a big ass grouper, little mangrove snappers, pretty much everything except a redfish. I even had a large tarpon swing at my bait and whiff once. They hang around bridges. Good luck if you go, have fun mor ethan anything. Fun thing about salt water, You never know what you are gonna catch. I had a manatee swim under the bridge once. They also like to swim, up to you in the backwaters if you are ever on a pontoon. Makes for some cool home video. Lots of Dolphin also. | |
