| PVC tubes stacked in a milk crate works or the ultimate cheap tackle box is hanging them in a styrofoam cooler. In my opinion you spend a lot of dough to buy good baits and the purchase of at least one decent box is warranted. The Plano hanging box isn't too pricey. The model number is 7915 and retails most places at just under $50.00. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | I made one from a milk crate using square vinyl down spout from Menard's. The reason you want to get it from Menard's it is thin walled and less weight when you put all the tubes in. One disadvantage is the baits get wet when it rains, but I never store then in it if they get wet. I also put a peg board floor in the bottom of the crate between the bottom and the tubes. I also leave a few short (put smaller baits there) so that you can use the handles. See pics.

Location: Yahara River Chain | If you use a power saw to cut the downspout, put the blade in backwards so it doesn't chip out at the end of the cut and I might suggest that you use an unwanted one as well as the blade warms up, the plastic starts melting to the blade and it not real easy to get it off. |
